Sister Dorothy Nelson Tarver

Usher's & Nurses President

Sister Dorothy Nelson-Tarver is the daughter of the late Willie and Annie Nelson. She is the sister to three Brothers and three SIsters. She is the Mother of Jason L. Tarver and the late Reginald L. Tarver, she is affectionately known as Nana to seven grand children and seven great grandchildren.

She retired from Saint Mary's of Michigan after 25 years of service as an Endoscopy Techinician.

Sister Tarver, is a faithful member of the Messiah Missionary Baptist Church, under the leadership of Pastor Otis Washington. Sister Tarver serves on the Usher Ministry as the President. She also serves on Intouch Ministry, Youth Usher Assistant Instructor. Sister Tarver, is the President of the Saginaw Valley Ushers and Nurses. She attends the Saginaw Valley Baptist District Congress of Christian Education and the Wolverine State Congress of Christian Education.

Sister Tarver's favorite Scripture is: "Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there where I am, there ye may be also."  John 14:1-3
